DIRECTOR OF ACCOUNTING MINIMUM CLEARANCE LEVEL: None CITIZENSHIP: USA LOCATION: WOODBRIDGE, VA (REMOTE) Seventh Sense Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced Director of Accounting with a strong background in Accounting in both the Commercial and Government Contracting environments. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Business Operations, the Sr. Accountant will be responsible for maintenance and oversight of the general accounting and reporting functions. Primary duties include responsibility for month end close and consolidations, internal controls, reconciliations, contract pricing support, and audit preparation. The selected candidate will perform other critical tasks including, but not limited to monthly financial reporting, lead government audits and providing Cost/Pricing support to Corporate Development, as required. Responsibilities: - Maintain financial and accounting policies, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements that are compliant with DCAA, FAR, CAS, and GAAP;
- Preparation of journal entries and perform general ledger account reconciliations;
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices for government contractors;
- Ensure company is current on all employee federal, state and local tax regulations, and compliance related reporting;
- Setup of various projects in Unanet to include various Cost-Plus, T&M, and FFP type of projects with WBS;
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential;
- Review Subcontractor invoices for accuracy and oversee billings to clients for various T&M, FFP, and Cost-Plus type contracts;
- Process semi-monthly payroll including timesheet reviews and transfer of payroll data to payroll provider. Follow processes and system workflows to confirm that all timekeeping and payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely;
- Review, reconcile, and prepare payroll related transactions and journal entries;
- Perform closing the books and produce monthly financial statements and consolidations;
- Support budgeting, indirect rates, cash flow, borrowing base or other bank-related business needs;
- Provide contract funding and financial reporting, including assisting in development of work estimates and task order cost proposals, tracking funds and coordinating funding modifications, and generating required contract financial reports;
- Lead regulatory reporting, including annual Incurred Cost Submission, Provisional Indirect Rate submission, and other applicable reporting requirements;
- Budget management, financial analysis, forecasting and financial reporting;
- Develop, maintain and report revenue projections, indirect rate variance and adjustment, and profit margin by task, contract, and overall corporation on a monthly basis and Prepare rate difference invoices if necessary;
- Provide end-to-end Pricing Support to Corporate Development to include development of cost estimates, cost/price models, and cost/pricing proposal content;
- Interpret RFPs in order to develop cost buildups for required contract attributes; interpret, organize, direct and incorporate internal department contributions; coordinate, direct and incorporate assigned subcontractors' responses into the final cost proposal;
- Meet the terms and requirements of the RFP within the required timeframe for submission; meet quick turnarounds for changes/new requirements, etc.
- Work with DCAA to process historical incurred cost audits, respond to rate variance claims;
- Respond to inquiries from executives and senior managers with financial results, special reporting requests and related projects;
- Prepare Incurred Cost Submission with DCAA Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
