Must effectively communicate information to all levels of the organization
Manage overall day-to-day accounting operations
Experience preparing and analyzing monthly financial reporting packages and financial statements.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while identifying areas to improve and offering solutions to make current processes more efficient.
Financial Statements - Prepare financial statements including balance sheets, P&L, and related schedules for Senior Management on a monthly basis; Reconcile back statements.
Accounts Reconciliation - Administer and oversee automobile, business liability, errors and omissions, and workers' compensation insurance.
Calculate and prepare forms relating to workers' compensation premium payment and perform quarterly audits
General Ledger (GL) Maintain Chart of Accounts, opening new accounts, perform account reconciliations and audits
Review contracts, mods, deliverables and project billing schedules, labor codes and budgets
Prepare and submit monthly invoices across various account types to include CPFF, Fixed Price, T&M.
Accounts Payable (AP):
Maintain and monitor vendor accounts and accounts payable due, prepayment reports, subcontract payments
Review all expense reports, invoices, consultants and reconcile to credit card statements/employee vouchers.
Review and audit weekly A/P checks from approved invoices/statements for Senior Manager signature.
Process, report and submit annual 1099 reports for vendors.
Prepare and coordinate semi-monthly payroll.
Review employee timesheets for accuracy and track hours against projects
Review, report and track benefit deductions to include, medical, life insurance, FSA, 401k among others
Prepare, process and review payroll taxes and annual W2’s.
Supervise, train, mentor Staff Accountant
Master's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field
Minimum of 5 years in management position
Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals
Fluency in Cost Point, Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Government Contracting compliance experience required
Knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles and application
